Enrolment information

Upon successful application, please complete the following steps to enrol.

Enrolments for the Summer 2024-25 semester will open from Thursday 24th October to Thursday 7th November 2024, via the LPAB student portal.

You can only enrol in your subjects for the Summer semester between these dates.

Before enrolling, you should check semester timetables on the Current Students page to avoid lecture or exam clashes.

The Law Extension Committee of the University of Sydney collects and uses your personal information to process your enrolment, candidature, academic progression, ongoing communication and the provision of services to you. 1. Enrol in your subjects with the LPAB

Enrol with the Legal Profession Admission Board in your subjects via the LPAB online portal and pay your course fees. [This link will be live during the next registration period]


2. Familiarise yourself with Canvas 

Canvas is the University’s online learning platform, where you will find course information and resources. New students will be notified when their access to Canvas is enabled.

Log in to Canvas portal 

If you are new to Canvas, you must set up a password by clicking “Request a Password”. Your login will be your LPAB student number.


3. Obtain your UniKey

Your UniKey is a unique ID and password that will give you access to systems and resources at the University. It will have the format abcd1234.

New students will be emailed their UniKey. Once you receive your UniKey, please ensure you set up your password and multifactor verification.


4. Attend Orientation 

Orientation for all new students is Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th November  2024.

Orientation will be held on The University of Sydney’s main campus at Camperdown.

Students taking the first subject, Foundations of Law, then attend additional Introductory Weekend seminars on Saturday, 23 and Sunday, November 24, 2024.
